Seller's description​

I have a 1970 Norton 750 Commando that needs to be finished. I bought the bike from my brother when he moved out of state who bought it from his friend that bought it new. He decide to take it apart to refinish it and never finished. Then my brother went further and had the engine professionally rebuilt. (see pictures) . I had thoughts of rebuilding it but I know that it's over my head. I have no paperwork for it other than a bill of sale and the friend that bought it originally has dementia and can't find anything. It is a desirable color I'm told and needs to go to someone who will bring it back to its former glory.I would be interested in any info that is out there and/or any advice on selling it.Thank You

Purple was listed as Roman Purple or Fireflake Purple for 1970 and a few years after. However, given the other visible changes in the photo (e,g, finned rocker covers and painted exhaust) that bike may have been painted at some time.
