Russell and Guy, proprietors of Dresda, are hoping to attract Dresda motorcycles of all types to display at the Ardingley show on 26th July as a tribute to Dave Degens who sadly passed this January.

If you’ve got a Dresda and fancy displaying it on their stand, contact Russ at Dresda.

I’m hoping to go along and admire the line up and have a long overdue catch up with Russ and Guy.

A while back, I rode my mate's 650 Triton. It was fast, safe and neutral handling. I have also ridden a 1961 500cc Manx Norton on the same circuit. The Triton was faster everywhere, but it could not be used in the same way as the Manx. The Manx can accelerate faster when in the middle of a corner. When I was young, my friends were mostly motor mechanics, and could afford Manx Nortons. The costs of racing one were frightening. The Manx Norton is much more versatile. I do not regret never buying one, but they used to be the way to go. The rider adapts to the bike which other people have improved by crashing.
