He posts on Facebook quite regularly, so if you're on there try that?No I have not. I figure when this needs new pads, and other parts I will have to put the stock one back on, or get a Brembo.

Oh just remembered there are pictures in the article on this site titled disk brake conversion.Hello Steve,
I purchased Don Pender's kit for my Commando. There are no instructions. Would you have photos of the system as it's installed on yours?
Found it - thanks!Oh just remembered there are pictures in the article on this site titled disk brake conversion.

This alone looks like a good reason for me to stay away from his goods. I had a guy bring me a master cylinder and his 13 mm sleeve kit. I refused to install it as it would rattle around in the std bore and it was a glue in part. Nope not me with that pos.here is what he replied:
"I don't have part numbers but ask at a Honda shop or mastercylinder repair shop, worse case scenario I could send some to you by post office air mail but that's a bit inconvenient for me and that can take 3 weeks to 3 months to arrive, no tracking etc"
Cheers.
When I bought my fork bush kit, I immediately obtained the Honda PN, and jotted it down on the receipt. This alone looks like a good reason for me to stay away from his goods. Spot on.You make it sound like that is a good thing ?
The fact that it does not absorb water is a negative IMO.
Any water that DOES get in will collect in the caliper and cause corrosion or even boil.
A tiny drop makes a lot of steam. You don't want that to happen..
In brake fluid specs you'll find a wet and dry boiling point.
'Wet' = 4% water.
I use DOT 5 for my rear brake, but not front.
Last i knew scca banned dot 5. It will boil from being pushed back and forth through an Ori face.Spot on.
I had three severely corroded master cylinders, one slave cyl, and three calipers on my ZG1000 I bought new and "upgraded" to DOT 5.
Huge mistake.
DOT 5 has benefits for a RACING application, and DETRIMENTS for regular street use.
I’m not familiar with the switch on Dons setup, but yes, no reason why it shouldn’t work with the correct connectors.Quick question regarding the break light tabs on Don's MC. If I take the brown and white wires from the old torpedo switch from the drum configuration, will they simply pop onto Don's tabs with smaller female spades? I'm definitely electrically challenged (for now).

Don's MC brake switch terminals are 3/16" male spades so 3/16" female spades can be used.Quick question regarding the break light tabs on Don's MC.
