The formula for Power:


Horsepower = Torque X Speed of Rotation ( in Radians/sec - where a Radian is 360 degrees/2Pi)


No conversion necessary


So for a given engine horsepower, the gearbox merely changes the rotational  speed of the rear wheel and hence the torque output of the wheel (minus mechanical friction losses of the primary, gearbox and final drive & wheel bearings etc)


All torque comes from the combustion chamber(s) - heavy crankshafts just store more and release more of that energy, thus slowing the bike's acceleration at times but artificially increasing it at other times.
