Has anyone got a source for the tail light that fits over the frame rail , sort of Lucas shaped, mostly seen on American Commandos ?
Yes, that's the type. I haven't seen any with the cut outs though. I like the early tail ligfht fairings but it's your type I'm looking forThe best ones were sold by cNw (see pic) but he doesn’t list them anymore. Maybe email him?
There’s lots of cheap Chinese versions on eBay that you could make fit and look half decent with a day or twos work !

just had a look on ebay and of about 1000 nothing was even closeEmail Matt and see if he’s got any in process Sam.
Failing that, an eBay version and a couple of days of sawing, filing and cursing …
Matt has already made some. They were made in USA in small batches so were certainly not cheap!Fred At OldBritts was the one that first made these available and I think Matt bought all his stock. He might be in the process of finding someone to make the castings. They were well made.

Sam, there was a guy on one of the facebook groups who was selling some he'd had cast in aluminium for the 469 (Beehive) and the later big square jobby. Trouble is I can't remember which Commando group it was.Has anyone got a source for the tail light that fits over the frame rail , sort of Lucas shaped, mostly seen on American Commandos ?
Hi Cliff, yes I remember seeing them myself and can't remember where as well !Sam, there was a guy on one of the facebook groups who was selling some he'd had cast in aluminium for the 469 (Beehive) and the later big square jobby. Trouble is I can't remember which Commando group it was.![]()
Yes I've thought of them, the BSA version has a larger cut out so less cuttin/grinding to fitIf a beehive is acceptable then a 60s Triumph job could probably be adapted ?
