Yeah, thanks, here's a pic of my harness around the coil area, you can see how small the ring mount is.

And here's where I mounted them on each side.

Norton must have changed the red earth wire mount method.

Here's a pic of my rear mudguard, the blue one (you don't want to see what's under the paint) and a newer style which is probably like yours. I've never seen another bike with the rear mudguard like mine.

Thanks for sharing.

Thats for the loom views and the cool tool kit, which is not nearly enough to care for a Commando not very much of what ya usually need out on the road. IRRC there should be a pair of tire irons in the kit too though the actual patches are what you supply. Do get the crooked 1/4" W wrench for tricky nuts and may be most used wrench on engine. Get 1/2" and 9/16" and 5/8" SAE to actually service many the fasteners. Do not let primary chain get set too tight cold or bad juju later. Nail down swing arm spindle before it get worn loose. Expect rusty mud in forks. Savor your good fortune babying that keeper a long ways.

Nice original bike. I have 137964 and know how hard some original parts are to find and buy. Yes the front end must be torn down from photos ,but it's all fun.
