I love the all-Leather Corbin solo on one of my other bikes & will probably get the Corbin for my '74 Norton soon. I like the idea of it being all-leather instead of the leather seat with vinyl sides. What do you guys have experience with?

Well they look really great. I rode my bike for a year with one thinking it would form to my butt, I finally decided if anything was going to change it was going to have to be my butt and I moved it to the bike I only ride occasionally. Jim

I've got one on mine. quite a wide seat, not sure how comfy 'cos I haven't had a long run yet. They tend to throw your knees out wide.

I like mine. Carbin seats are hard though and they don't soften up. I've never felt fatigue from the seat. My shoulders give up from my clubman bars before my rear does from the seat.

I have a few Corbin seats, including on my Commando, and I love them. As you probably know, Corbin advises AGAINST leather side panels, suggesting vinyl instead. I've taken their advice, so have no experience with leather side panels.

I guess this wasn't a very helpful post...sorry.

I know this is going to sound crazy, But I find mine to be every bit as comfy as a stock seat. Although I have never been on a ride where I used more than a few tanks of fuel. I love mine.

why not? My smuggler came standard all leather

not that I don't believe you, just wondering why they prefer the vinyl??

Thank you gentlemen. I belieive I prefer all-leather, but was looking to find if anyone had a tragic warning against.

I sincerely enjoy your advice & experience.

On my first Corbin I anticipated the 2000 mile break-in period. Little did I know it meant 2000 miles before for my butt would conform.

DL in Dallas. See some of you Saturday.

As to why, this is from their FAQs:

If I order a leather seat, will the entire seat be made of leather?
Mostly, we only use leather in the seating panels. That is to say, any area of the seat or backrest that actually comes in contact with your body while you're riding. The reason for this is simple: The side panels of your seat and backrest take the most beating from day to day use and the advantages of leather are lost since your body doesn't contact those areas. Instead, we use a coordinating vinyl that is a perfect match to the grain and color of the leather, but does not stretch like leather, therefore keeping your saddle tight. This provides you with a motorcycle saddle that stays looking new for a much longer period of time.
