I drilled oil holes into my MAP- Rods. I always had problems with seized pistons on my racer (Maney cylinder block with cast iron liners with Venolia pistons). The reason may have been that I fitted the oilfilter into the mainstream between the pump and the crankshaft. That way I might have had too little oil in my crank case, allthough it was enough for the rod-bearings. I should have added some washers (to be exact 1,5mm) underneath the piston of the pressure relief valve to have more pressure which I have done now. Today I changed over to NICASIL plated aluminium liners and Mahle Pistons. I hope it works.
