Commandos at Las Vegas Auction

I was just browsing the sale list for the upcoming Las Vegas Motorcycle auction in January, and noticed quite a few Commandos on the block. Might be worth a trip for anyone close enough looking for a bike. You see some outrageous sale prices, but also the occasional real bargain. You can check out the available bikes here. If you go to the text list, you can search if for brands. I searched for Norton, and found 17 Commandos, including several fastbacks, MK3s, Combats, one PR, and one John Player 850, along with several Roadsters. Also some Manx and other Nortons, but the majority of Nortons listed were Commandos.

FYI. At the upcoming Mecum Las Vegas auction. 10 pictures to look at - let's hear your opinion as to what's right, wrong or questionable about the bike.

There are also several other Norton models and years at auction. On the mecum site in the top middle right there is a red search button where you can specify the auction (in this case Las Vegas), choose a marque, and search. Happy hunting. Will be interesting to visit the site post auction and see what price range the various bikes brought.

I'll be there in the main auction hall at the Smiths Gauges USA booth...stop by and say hello! Have a new batch of Commando gauges, new gear drive conversion and new race tachs on display. May bring my Commando Formula 750/BEARS race bike and put it in the display.
