Stumbled on these to jog my memory to P!! being told its best time was 11.49 1/4m ET. Below is most similar to my P!! but no fender plus nose dropped 2" lower.

Hmm, wonder why they are in drag frames. Seems gross overkill to me. I don't think that the Norton motor will have enough power to wheelie out of control.

A factory Combat with over bored Wolfhaven early head will easy reach for the sky on throttle alone once past 6800 rpm and really gets on cam packing into mid 7000's.
A real race prepped 750 like Woods or Axtell engines with around 80 hp or more sure can on throttle alone. All others must rev up and drop clutch for a bit of lift then drop. Also these sprinters would have a 4" slick fitted and dropping clutch near WOT and almost red line rpms so yes vital they have some length added or flip right over.
But in general the Commando torque will just leap ahead more than wheelie limit acceleration in road racing conditions with good speed already attained.

Note what 6800 in first does to mere 110 tire 26 lb PSI, ugh not good in this case.
