Hi,

Got out on the Norton today for the first time this summer.

Decided to do a short coastal hop around the area I live, approx. 50 miles.

Lots of twisty 'B' roads and very little traffic

Norton ran well after the custom piston work Jim Comstock did, has good 'grunt', too early to test top speed, only have about 400miles on new setup.

Overall great day & my Norton soul has been topped up a bit :)

Unfamiliar names, although the views are exemplary. Nice Commando also.... Makes me wish on riding country too.

For members interested in geography!! Here's an approx. map of the small trip I did with all the unfamiliar/strange names:D
(Lots of other strange names on the map o_O)
The area is North of Dublin, which is the capital of Ireland, end of geography lesson:rolleyes:

I had a friend 30 or so years back from Coolree, Wexford.... just sayin' because all foreign to me. Sounded almost like he was singing when he spoke.

I was recently considering that same top box. You happy with it?

It's fine, I picked it up on Ebay about 8 years ago for the period look. I tend to bring the kitchen sink with me on my spins  All my bikes have top-boxes, just couldn't live without them. I did add the IKEA supports as a temporary fix but still have not got around to crafting something more pleasing to the eye! Craven luggage are still being made: https://www.craven-equipment.co.uk/index.php/kits-racks

They make nice stuff and really, how funny is it that they are in Bungay/ ;-)
I got used to having panniers with the R90s but now I dread anything making me
wider on the lanes even my bar end mirror so a top box may suit.

With a lot of time at home I’d like to thank all who have been posting photos of their locale. Very interesting seeing Norton roads in countries other than mine. The NCNOC is supposed to be on Sonoroa Pass, Northern California Sierras, in two weeks. I will try to get some photos posted

As far as I know it is:) they have the parking area outside the pub roped off so you can sit down & socially distance. My days of drinking and driving are long over:rolleyes:

Same here, always used to go there after Skerries, but it's been about 35 years now
