With all this talk about the cNw sprag problems I decided to pull the cover off and clean/de-dust the clutch
Not too much there but worth doing. The two tools I made with hard-drive magnets (see below) make it so much easier to pull the plates out two at a time.
I also finally woke up to the bloody primary cover o-ring. It's always been a PITA to refit because the loop doesn't always fit in well. The fix, I found, is to cut in the middle and shorten the length by about an inch. Now, putting it in is a doddle. Of course!! It's dry, so doesn't have to be sealed!
Some people are slow learners! :rolleyes:

I used 2 extendable magnets first time around but then had the Barnetts to pull so ditched them for 2 fine wood screws to snag opposing edges. Bish bash bosh, all out in seconds; sometimes one can over think/over engineer 🤣🤣🤣

I have Barnetts too, but they come out as the magnets pull the steel plate behind them out
