The clutch centre was an A.N part from RGM. As I understand it from reading previous posts, the centres only come hardened, when you think about it a soft mild steel one wouldn't last five minutes. As a point of interest the matching "spline" area on the bronze plates were in pretty good condition, perhaps they had been changed more recently.
The seal was from RGM, so I guess thats a Dommi one too, if thats the case I'll just face off the threaded end until it accommodates the pushrod.
I'm still keeping the bike at work at the moment (but yes I did tell the wife I'd bought it!! ) until I've made room in the workshop at home for it. even so, I've been able to put a couple of hundred miles on it, just round the local lanes on the Hoo peninsular in my lunch hours. Its got to the point now where the locals in the villages I pass through have got used to the snarl of a Commando passing through "aye up, 'alf past twelve, 'ere 'e comes, Terry on 'is Norton, 'es running five minutes late today".
Nearly time to re - torque the head.
