I have my riding partner's Dad's 76 KZ 900 in the garage undergoing a bit of a resurrection having not run and been a bit abused for several years. Stock paint (from a place in the UK, only place that I could find it) and a set of factory-replica stripes along with carb kits and brake parts on the way. Front brake was frozen, tires are rock-hard and wouldn't run without choke, but all valve clearances were in spec and all the electrical stuff worked after I repaired the wiring harness, which was butchered to adapt to a Vetter windjammer (since jettisoned along with plastic saddlebags and a huge chromed luggage rack/sissybar).
I wanted one of these really bad in 1974, but it was not to be. By the time I could afford a Z1 or one of it's descendants, the GS 1100 was blowing them away, so I got one of those instead.
