You are correct GP for the more numerous later style swinging arms with lugs.However, Manx and early swinging arms like the Manx, did not have the cast lugs on the ends.Manx Norton’s certainly had a torque arm / stay bolting to a bracket on the swinging arm. I’m not sure, but I imagine the early road going swinging arms did the same.So Jacks ‘58 frame could easily have an earlier swinging arm arrangement in it.
