So my first question is to know more about this Norton (99 maybe) and if i could rebuild it like a Manx model.

thanks in advance on your help.

Charlie

Slimline so 60 or later based on gas tank (cant see frame rails under tank and covers)
500cc if engine code 122, or 600 if code 14
7" triple trees (no key lock)
Later (Could be 68) dunstall front fender and seat tail section with locking cubby.

if i could rebuild it like a Manx model.
It is a twin so why would you want to style it like a manx?

First and third pic appear to show the rear subframe up to the shocks, and it doesn’t look much like a slimline set up...

Nice period, probably homemade, wideline cafe style bike, early original tank, later Dunstall or Dunstall style seat and megas. Engine could be dated by vertical fins on head. Why not honor you dad's memory by just restoring it to look like it looks in old picture?

wideline OK
I now do see the dynamo...57 ended the dynamo 600 (last was #75050 per Bruce main book).
The head fin style did go until 61 on the 500 and until the end of the 62 600.

Head K12/136 early, R12/136 later: http://atlanticgreen.com/nhth.htm
Fins on front of head and manifold stud spacing determine which one...

Myself I would begin a major clean up & check to see what is wrong/right, and then start fretting the rest of the details. On cosmetics here is my take.... When my father died I ended up with all of his guns many of which I don't care for as he set up...… They remain as is because I am only the caretaker should he by some chance ever make it back for them. I do on occasion use one but never alter it because of respect for him. If one required restoration I would do so, but I would not change it. The choice is yours though.....

Its an early dominator, an 88 or 99 mostly pre 58 , a café racer of the time . Not worth a lot, but with a tidy up some paint and chrome ,new tyres etc it will still be fun,and remind you of time gone by and dad.
