I was at the show and swap in Davenport last weekend and came across this Indian Royal Enfield.

Seems from 1955 Enfields were marketed in the US as Indians, until????......

Clymer bound the two together as well, later on.

I had a 500cc T100 many years ago with reversed head, that was a bit different.
 
Wait a minute - the heads are correct, the cylinders are switched left to right also rotated 180
 
There were a fair number of British bikes at this years show and swap meet in Davenport Iowa.
 
I will be returning to Davenport at the end of August for the Chief Blackhawk show and swap meet. Always a great time.
 
If youthink about it , it makes sense to fitem that way , airflow & temperature . So likely itts a DELIBERATE mistake . Not pisstake .:mad:

A Indian Enfield , give a whole new perspective to the term . Wonder who OWNS that opperation , NOW . :oops: :eek: .

No doubt it'll be announced in a few weeks , now . ' The New Indian Enfield . ' .:confused:
