need help with identifying camshaft , it is the unscrolled type with ss {not 2s}stamped on shaft between lobes not on the end .what crankcases would this fit,is it interchangeable in 750/850 cases. i was told it was a combat cam,with right mods to motor is this cam worth a try. has any member experienced owning or riding combat, 750,or 850 commando. what are the comparisons.i have owned an 850 mk 11 for 25 years and am still impressed with its rideability.i am building 2nd bike out of parts i have accumulated and have come to a fork in the road , modify or standard.would like to build combat motor or similar stg. 1 specifications 750.any advice or experiences greatly appreciated . dilbery

Yes, apparently the SS stamp should be read as "2S" so it is a Combat camshaft.
Actual "SS" camshafts are stamped X1 or X2.
