I have a used cam which is in very good condition. However, I do not have the followers for it.
In general it isn't considered a good idea to run a used cam with reground or new followers
but is it worth the candle to go ahead as the cam looks so good?

Inspect it well
Straightedge (or indicater even better) to check the lobe noses for parallelism to the shaft centerline.

Then, yes, it should work fine with new/resurfaced lifters.

If you can borrow, test surface finish

I don't see any reason why reground or new followers shouldn't be used as long as the cam lobes are virtually as good as new.
