Burnt out Commando - is it toast?

I know its not proof of ownership. But it is the next best thing, in most cases the only thing. It is the I.D. of the bike, not necessarily the owner

Yes, but a title document infers ownership which was what I was asking if there is there any such document in Austria.

No doubt there would have been some form of legal document for the bike.

What I find disheartening is somebody might get sucked into buying something like that and become totally disenchanted. If I wanted motor or gearbox internals I might buy that.

I was once given a head from a mk 3 that was fire damaged worse than the one pictured
I stripped out the rocker gear that was all good
And a set of almost new black diamond valves
I'd imagine the barrel would be fine as would the crank, maybe the cam,the gearbox internals
The frame is more than likely fine
I wouldn't rebuild that bike but it'd be a great source of spares

In Roswell, NM USA (legendary UFO crash site) there is a bar featuring aviation artifacts and faux UFO stuff mounted on the walls. Someone had taken an old Guzzi Eldo and melted parts of it with a rosebud torch (I assumed).
Maybe the burned out Cdo could be used for decoration
