Britts and the 4th of July

I do not wish to turn this thread political, but I would like to comment on the negativity that is heaped upon the current President of the United States.

Trump's negative press and antagonism stems from the fact that he is not a member of the club ...... that club whose members (regardless of D or R after their names) have their fingers in many money pies, profit from wars, and profit from Imperialism, or globalism, leaving very few to support him.

Now back to Brits and the Fourth of July.

Slick

There is but one club. The money club, all of its members equally guilty.

Politics and money cannot be separated. Some may profit from war, others from defrauding the tax payer...

Has the orange one committed treason by any chance?

How is this comment any different than calling Obama a ni__er?... A: It's not. It's an insulting term. Same/same

I always say discuss the policies, because personal attacks and insults may feel like an argument to some people, but they are clearly not that...

Some of you people still seem to think the "Russian collusion" hoax is/was real. The real part of it was that it was a political operation of the Clinton DNC. It's a little sad to see so many people who think the politicized system of bureaucratic appointment musical chairs is interested in what's best for Americans. It's incredible how many times people trot out the "What makes you think Trump cares what happens to you" argument, but don't think that argument applies to Pelosi, Shumer, Bill Gates, Popeye, or any other person...

It's really hard to explain in a few paragraphs, something as complicated as politics and political ideology, forget explaining media propaganda and what power controlling the narrative has on elections and the culture...

If you can't refrain from calling Trump (or obama, etc) a derrogitory name, when you make your comment, then I assume the point you wish to make can't stand on it's own merits. As for suggesting beheading or being shot with a .45, that's a pathetic comment which says a lot about the person saying it.

Mrs T used to say she didn't mind the name calling as she knew that meant t'other person had run out of reasoned argument..

First of all this argument is a load of B/S.
As I did not put in any of my posts that he should be beheaded or shot, then you clearly are trying to put words into my mouth. I was only thinking way back in English history of why one king was beheaded, I made absolutely no suggestion otherwise. It seems you sir are making your argument as you go along.

I stopped using this person's surname because we have gone "no political discussions " on this forum., so I use another method of description for this person, of which you take the upmost umbrage ! - I can't win!!!!
Perhaps I should go and fart in a jar and post it to you via airmail as fresh air from the Scottish Highlands! :)
P.S. is it OK to mention his hair?

Coincidentally, a hallmark of POTUS oratory style. Sorry, could help myself.

Wish some here would hold pres. T to same low standard.

yeah, POTUS runs his mouth. I can't deny that. In contrast to Mitt Romney, who never challenged anyone who slandered him unfairly, and was perceived to be weak because of it.

Still,.. NO policy arguements coming forth...

Ain't no policy to argue ;)

The man can't even articulate why he should be reelected.

In the words of VP "make America great again... Again...!"

I'm sorry. We're gonna get off track here. Nothing more from me, promise.

How about his “children in cages” policy. Just lovely.
Trump’s “fine people on both sides argument“. Another fine example.
His “shithole countries“ comment.
Throwing paper towels to the people of Puerto Rico during hurricane Maria.
All his stupid travel bans.
How about his love for dictators? Good policy? I think not.
The ”Great Wall” Mexico was supposed to pay for.
His “grab them by their pussy” comment and similar comments. Such a gentleman!
All the love from white supremacists and love from Trump in return.
All his government shut downs.
How about all the “Great people“ that Trump has hired that are in prison or have been arrested?
Can’t forget about Trumps covid response or should I say his lack of a response.
Man, I could go on and on but I don’t have the time or inclination.
In my opinion Trump is a failed president. November can’t come soon enough.
Knock it off with the .45 and hanging responses-prison hopefully only.

Larry..... What have you done!

I'm fairly certain the no politics rule is out the window, considering we've got active threads with members whinging about immigrants and suggesting black people ought to be grateful for their white saviours...

How about you argue a single point and prove it, rather than just go through the false bulletpoints of the DNC ??

Those "Cages" were used by the Obama administration before Trump's administration started, so how is Trump the bad guy for doing what Obama gets a pass for?

Go for Larry,... then we'll go on to discuss more..

The sad thing is it could be a civil discussion, but some people would rather wave their flag, than discuss. No one seems to be able to post without being extremely hyperbolic either... Maybe we shouldn't discuss politics, and maybe those people who always throw out the insult should lead the way by their silence.

I don’t remember one single child that died in a cage during Obama’s watch because there were none. On Trumps watch, seven so far. Wow, something Trump finally beat Obama at doing. Look it up yourself. Obama 0 Trump 7

I say we stick to talking about bikes... and guns... I'd also be good with discussions about joinery techniques!

Really, so you think you know that 7 died while trump was in office because of your memory? Why not quote your source? Lets leave out any sources that have won pulitzer prizes for posting lies...

The Washington Post and The New York Times both won Pulitzer Prizes for reporting that bolstered the narrative that Trump and his associates committed treason by working with a foreign government to win an election. The two outlets shared a joint award from the Pulitzer board for national reporting:

The award was given by the pulitzer comittee for,

“For deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest that dramatically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign, the President-elect’s transition team and his eventual administration."

The whole thing was a lie to sabotage his run for president. At some point, you have to remember how much water has gone under to bridge, and when a lie by one of the traditionally most trusted source gets a pulitzer prize is treated like a bullet that missed the target, you have to wonder why the attack is occurring.

I think Pete said it some posts ago. Trump is disrupting the "business as usual" money making game of both parties of government.

All these generals retire and say bad shit about Trump,... Then go on and are hired by some defence contractor for millions of dollars. Is there any wonder why these guys want to go into Syria, stay in afghanistan, and continue the business of war? It was Eisenhower who made the speech about the out of control "military industrial complex". He was leaving the presidency and had been a key General in WWII. It's pretty obvious that he was an insider to the problem he pointed to in 1960, which is still with us today...

on the other side of the isle it's a different shell game, but made in the same way. Political favors, political money grants, loans, and contracts, and the payback is sitting on some board of directors or go over to work at MSNBC as a commentator. Al Sharpton met with Obama 150 times in the white house when Obama was president. I'm sure you memory doesn't remember that or think it's a problem considering he once accused a police officer of being involved in kidnapping and gang raping a 15 year old black girl....

Everybody has their "thing" to point to that makes someone else the "devil incarnate".

Personally, I don't hate Obama. I just think he was wrong about certain things. Nor do I "like" Trump. I just think he's right about certain things too. When I see the Bullet point list attack on Trump, all I see is a smokescreen to cover up the fact that Trump is attempting to ruin the Cronyism in washington on both sides of the isle.

Hmm. False bullet points. How about all the convicted criminals in the backfilled swamp? Cronyism, give me a break.
Smokescreen, projection. I really shouldn't get into this. I learned with my uncle and brother it doesn't go anywhere.

But I do get tired of the 'us and them' crap. We all live in the same country and eat the same BBQ. I really believe we can get along somehow. And we have the same virus which needs to be addressed, not ignored.

Dude, not a memory thing - google it like I did. Does it really matter who publishes the facts?
