Bridgestone BT 45 are not made any more, they now have BT46. I don't use them but know plenty of others use them on Moto Guzzis and like them, but they do wear a bit quick . I use Pirelli Sport Demon 18" F& R and really like them.

Yes I figured the BT45s had been superseded by the BT46 from looking at the sizes.

Never heard of the Sport Demons, they look like good tyres though, do you recall what sizes you’re running ?

Hi Fasteddie, I followed NW’s guidance and have 18” BT46 F &R , (120/18 rear ) albeit running at 36 and 42 psi. At this pressure handling is great and extra width gives me a bit more confidenc/ comfor.
I spoke at length with Bridgestone tech dept re pressures , got a guy who is bike specialist hence 36/42. Handling really ponderous at anything lower. Worth a try.

I am running 2.15 rims F &R, Front tyre is a 100/90 Rear is 110/90 ,works for me.The rear 110/90 have been unavailable here in Sydney for over 12 months now, expected delivery in March this year. Luckily I the Norton does not need one but my Guzzi does.

Back when I was riding the go fast stuff in the 90's, most of the high HP motorcycles coming out of Japan had Bridgestone tires on them in the showroom. I figured there must have been a good reason for using them. I started buying what looked like the Bridgestone Hypersport does today after using Pirelli and other popular brands for years. They stick as good as any of them (on the street). Point is as others have mentioned they make a good tire. I don't care for the wiggle center groove of the BT 46, so have never put them on a Norton, but they probably work. Very affordable tire.

My tyres are BT45 - much better than T1 compound Triangulars. Because I never had good tyres, all I need is something to keep the rims off the road. If you fit new tyres, it does not matter what they are - they are always better. And you always ride faster.
