I have used Wurth brake parts cleaner for years applied with the pump up sprayer. Went to buy some more bottles of this liquid, I get it off who ever has it for least on ebay. Today found only one offering and only two left.
Has Wurth given up on this or has it been discovered we are all 1. killing ourselves with it or 2. destroying our bikes with it?
Anybody have a clue on this?

I have an account with Wurth, 6 x litre bottles @ £41.64

Do you insist on Wurth as the maker? Pop into any half decent motor factor and you can buy a generic brake cleaner in a 5Ltr can. I get it from where I used to work cheap as chips. Let me know if you struggle to find any.

I tried a non aerosol can of brake cleaner found locally here in Canada. Though the fluid worked well, I could not find a sprayer bottle that would keep working more than a few days. The pump seals would fail. Even bought a sprayer claiming to be solvent resistant, same issue.

I use Zep brake cleaner , spray in pressurized can , not friendly to enviro, but I try to use sparingly , on sale regular at local nuts & bolts outlet ….

Wurth hand cleaner in the large pump bottle is really good, sometimes they run a special .

This is also my experience though I have to say I use a sprayer for petrol as well as brake and RTF solutions ( cleaning down Land Rover gearboxes and engines ) so I'd be pleased to hear if the Wurth botle is truly long lasting .... expensive yes but worth it if it works.

Alternatively if anyone can recommend a spray bottle that will cope with petrol please post up.

If it's not friendly for the environment then it works, the environment safe products don't usually work as good I miss the old
days with leaded fuels that don't go off, the fuels we have today has so much crap mixed with it, oils today that cost a arm and leg, kerosene use to be cheap and could get a drum filled up at the local petrol station now you have to buy it in a drum or small bottle, kerosene is all I use for cleaning parts and now I got to look around who sells a 20ltr drum and cost $70 the last time I brought a drum, as for carby cleaner the good old vinegar does the job.

I use to buy straight 50 grade Pennzol direct from a yank who imported from the states buy the drum, was his business, then Caltex produces so call Pennzol here in Aust and its not the same as what I use to run my Norton on and they tried to shut down the man who was importing the real Pennzol, they shut him down for a while while they took him to court but he won the case, but he was getting old and retired a few years later.
I miss getting my drums fill up by the supplier and all the good stuff that worked.

I use the Wurth because it is alleged to be less unfriendly to me and enviro. I cannot prove this beyond people who use it daily and also take regular medical tests for exposure to chemicals. But I have no proof. I also have read that brake cleaners are should not be used as cleaning fluids on engine internals. Will have to search for that at some point.
The hand pump sprayer is fine now for three years but has only used the Wurth fluid in it.

Do the women in your life spend money on special exfoliating creams etc , mine gives me a look of horror when I tell her I scrubbed all the grease off my face with the wurth hand cleaner ,..... I mean It has natural walnut shell grit !
