Brake Hose Fitting Question:

I need to replace the upper brake hose on my Mk3 front wheel. I plan to eliminate the intermediate steel line between the triple clamps and connect the longer AN3 hose directly to the bulkhead fitting of the lower hose.
I don't know what kind of taper the Norton has but it is male and my hose is female taper. The nut threads of my new hose are 3/8-24 and match up. My question: Will a AN3 female hose fitting mate properly to the bulkhead fitting of the lower hose?

The Norton brake fitting taper is 45 degree (SAE), but I believe "AN" is normally 37.

The bulkhead fitting is a 3/8-24 with an SAE taper, also known as a "532", the master end is also a 3/8-24 (aka 531) but seals at the hex with a crush washer. I make these lines frequently.
