Can anybody identify this bike? Saw it on the eBay motors search page...

Bike I.D.

It's been mentioned here before, but I forget, anyway the rider will probably chime in as he is a member here :)

The half that is visible is Velocette based.
Not entirely standard though, obviously.

it might be a 350 OHC velo.

I admit that I didn’t have my specs on, on a closer look it looks like push rods!
Blue number plates suggest a 350 rather than a 500, which race on yellow plates.

Velocette

Yes it been posted on here before and the owner comented on it.

I have never owned a Velo in my life but :

I think is an Ozzie bike.
The blue number plate says 350
The bit I can see says not a Velo frame
That doesnt look like a noraml post war Velo pushrod rocker cover
The barrel is not original
The timing cover is early (pre war?)
This should be push rod but the pillers under the rocker box area look a bit unusual. The rocker box looks high with respect to the carb positon
If I blow the photo up I think I see exposed valve springs and rocker ? Look just in front of the fuel tap. Or is that my imagination.
If those are exposed valve springs then this is one of the Ozzie OHC conversions - but single OHC so maybe Im wrong.

It aint no standard Mac thats for sure.

I figured it was a built bike, wish I could find a full picture of it. I went through a lot of pictures on the net but can't find another bike with that distinct line to the gas tank. Very nice piece of work that would be a blast to ride.
