DHL always charges a brokerage fee on top of shipping charges. This is applied after the item is underway and they send you lots of "threats" to pay before arrival or they may return item to sender. Typically here in Canada that fee is a percentage of the item value, which is ridiculous as fee is supposed to be for paperwork presented to border agents...thus should be a fixed amount.Typically brokerage is anywhere from $15-$35 CAD on items in the $100-$200 range I have purchased from UK.If you can, try to select Postal service shipping to avoid or limit such charges.
