Anyone broken their kickstart shaft like this before ?

Unfortunately couldn't tell you guys where the shaft came from. Seems pretty stupid to halve the thickness on the pattern ones. Unless ,as pointed out they were cheaper to make and were hoping to sell more than one to the unsuspecting customer. I imported the bike from Canada to Australia a couple of years ago. The bike was restored by the previous owner who apparently used to race British bikes although I'm unsure which make or models. I'm sure he has tweaked it a bit and I'm convinced mine has higher compression than stock. It takes a hell of a lot of effort to kick it through. I will find out when I get hold of a compression tester one day. It does pull like a freight train and is a blast to ride
Anyway, got a new shaft and whatnot coming from Andover Norton so should be back in action soon.
