Antique License plates

Im located in PA so this would really be a question for the PA, or possibly the NE guys. But I just sent in a application to receive antique plates. The bike at the moment is still original. My only real plans for any drastic moves, are different handle bars and rear sets (since Im 6'4) Does anyone know if putting on these items would kinda get me into trouble? Or do people kinda overlook it, if the bike is a great shape?

I think it's a pretty straight deal to use historic or vinatge plates...I am in New York and this is what I ran up against...
I own a 1972 Int'l Scout II...I found some really cool vintage plates for it....there was not a problem to use them, provided I sent a high quality scan or photo of them to the DMV along with the historic/vintage plate application, the plates themselves were clear in the books of the DMV and the insurance card states that the vehicle is insured as a historic/vintage vehicle. ALSO, i found out while speaking with my insurance company the vehicle, to be insured as historic/vintage, can't be your primary vehicle...

I am not sure if the same rules apply in PA, but it couldn't be far off. probably in the case of the bike being the second vehicle it'll all turn out fine.

Im going through the application process at the moment. I know people who have antique plates on their vehicles, and drive them everyday without problems. (according to PA you can only drive the bike 1 day a week or for shows, parades, etc)

I picked up this from the DMV
Antique plates are for vehicles more than 25 years old that are in a condition similar to the original specifications, either through maintenance or restoration. Replicas are not permitted.

Now "similar to original specs" is kinda loose term.
