Over the past few years, most of the US Norton parts resellers have stopped selling. This has left only a few and mostly they have very large markups.

I have tried to be a service to the US community and have tried to sell AN parts for less than it would cost you to get them from AN. I also sell Amal, Tri-Spark, and Lucas (Wassell) to forum members for much less than The Bonneville Shop, Steadfast, and eBay sellers charge.

It has become too much - I literally have parts in every room in my house and rarely get an order. So, I've just changed my https://www.gregmarsh.com/MC/ForSale.aspx page to reflect 10% loss on all AN parts purchased from AN and my cost on all parts I purchased from Old Britts.

For those that give me lists of things to add to my orders, I won't be doing that anymore as I won't be placing large orders so I can't help reduce the cost of shipping.

I'm sorry to hear that Greg I have bought some parts from you. I haven't any complaints at all. I'm at a sore spot in life with a divorce and other mishaps. They are starting to clear up. I want to start working on this again: https://www.advrider.com/f/threads/66-matchless-g15-and-soa-eagle-sidecar.1435574/ I also have a 73 to repair after a oil drain plug came adrift last year. My departed sons' 70 Norton is also with me, needing work. I hope you will still sell stock in hand. I also understand when it is time to cut your losses. Thanks for the help you have given.

Perhaps there needs to be one web page dedicated to suppiers of classic motorcycle spare parts ? It could have separate pages for each brard af motorcyclr and links to the various suplliers' pages for each brand.
It should probably be controlled by a national motircycling organisation to serve a common interest.

This is sad news Greg, but I don’t blame you.

I blame t’internet. Folk think they’re saving a few $ by buying direct. But there’s way more to this than meets the eye. Often what appears to be a bargain is the fact there’s no tax shown… because you gotta pay it on arrival… then folk moan about being ‘ripped off’ by customs etc !

Then they pay through the nose for international shipping… and moan about that !

None of the above is relevant when buying local.

But there’s a ton of other advantages to having reliable local resellers: faster, cheaper shipping, easier returns, support on the end of a phone, etc. And if we don’t support ‘em…we lose ‘em… simple as that.

Greg, are you able to supply an ‘Elite’ type 99 link 5/8 x 3/8 (530) rear chain from your inventory? I am visiting the UK next month and am considering bringing one back with me. To pay the tax on it over there is over 4 x cheaper than paying to shipping it over here!
Apologies if I’m asking a question you have previously answered. Thanks
Steve

The Elite I have and the Elite AN has are not the same even though they are both IWIS. You don't want mine if for a Commando.
