This followed me home ! Do I need therapy?

Engine number is 125344? Late for an Atlas?

You don't need professional therapy, you need to spend this weekend flushing it out and seeing how it runs.

THAT is "therapy".

After an initial inspection to see exactly what I have this will probably sit on the back burner while I finish off my '65 Atlas and then start on a full restoration for the Mercury as I now have all the basic stuff gathered for it now.

Yes, that would make it a '68, built in the last couple months before Commando production started up.
Should be concentrics and distributor ignition as that's how it would have left the factory.

It appears to have quite a lot of brakes. !
That could be quite a good thing....

The oil tank seems to be the same color as the car next to it.
That CAN'T be a co-incidence ?!

Yes, has concentrics and points. Actually, just had a look and it has a Lucas RITA ignition.

I think it is. The guy that built the bike went to Australia and left it with a friend. He decided after 20 years he wasn't coming back.
