I didn't want to carry the political side of this thread on any more, as it's not fair to the rest
of the world, who honestly wouldn't give a rats about our little world, but........

As far as politics go we have the same bs going on here. Pensions under attack. New retirement age will be 70, selling raw resources off for processing (profiteering) off shore and bringing in boat loads of cheap labour. It's global the 1%'s want to bring back the feudal system.

As for politics ~ I guess we all have to pressure otn he pollies.. btu that's a tough call as IMO 95% have soem corporation with big bucks pissing int heir back pocket ~
We have had a HUGE win in view of Australia still being a monarchy . Here in QLD we just had an election and the 20 year domination of state government by Aust Labor party came to an end, with an election debacle ~ with LNP party winning over 75 seats and the out going Labor retaining.. wait for it ~ Five seats ~ a total Rout!
NOW ~ this week the LNP announced in view of the Royal Jubilee year that they would be reinstating much of the Crown association of the state system~
Bottom line is that the previous state government introduced (by extremely devious means ) a system which handed ALL power and control over a Representative organisation called the Brigalow Corp.
And their powers were vast and invasive. ( And this is becoming common place throughout the World not just Australia or Queensland~
It did away with electors rights and legal claims ~ It potentially did away with rightful ownership and land ownership~ They changed the laws right back to the Magna Carta which cannot be changed ~ (This of course is the abrdiged version ~ If interested try Googling 'Brigalow corporation QLD AUST.)
The new government looks like reinstating the original common democratic rights ~
So just one light in the Sky being devoured by Darkness ~ we hope!

I envy him being down south in Brisbane as up here is Far far North QLD we don't have the resources as they do in Brisbane or Sydney or Melbourne ~ as I feel I am never going to be happy with my Commando or my latest the T150V Trident restoration ~

And on the political side, a new word describes the current Australian government:
INEPTOCRACY( in-ep-toc-ra-cy)
Meaning; a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing,and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the diminishing number of hard working producers!!
Eleven billion borrowed dollars to prop up the Euro dollar, five billion last year in overseas foreign aid with a further seven billion this year, all borrowed remember with interest on top of that! America ranks the highest in over seas aid $21.75 billion, Australia 2nd and then all of Europe together way down the figures coming in 3rd!! The top 4 Australian banks and a former CEO of Commonwealth Bank described the carbon tax as the worst legislation to be put forward into Parliament, but I suppose some will say these guys are dills and know nothing about running a business!! :evil:

Mate ~ they don't give $%&^%%$& about anyoen but themselves.. remember the HUGE stink over that pollie that retired back in the 1990s in NSW ~ he was only in his early 30s and was on a retirement promise of minimum $1 Million ~ Bill Chong or something was his name ~ Caused such a ruckus they had to change the Pollies benefits in federal legislation!
But not going help much as they chase their own agendas and pad up their retirement ~ I bet Bob Katter for example will be laughing as he has been politics for almost FORTY years ~
