And You Thought You Could Ride

Jerry Palladino down in Florida teaches classes on how to ride like that. A few years ago a group of us took the course . We rented Harley's and duct tapped rubber pads on the crash bars. Most of us went down at least once and the pads saved us from buying new crash bars on the rentals. A few weeks ago on a group ride the leader made a wrong turn and we had to turn around on a narrow country road I was able to make the u turn no problem. Some had to stop put their feet down and three point the turn.

Pretty common here to have to turn around in tight spaces, so my practice - not to freak out w/o feet down with forks locked or peg scrapping. But really sharp turns require the rear to spin and slip so there's funner ways to do these autocross/ gymkanna courses than police on big cruisers. Think of it as ticket avoiding practice too. It tightens my groin of course as not yet practiced enough on regular C'do to know all the quirks they have to surprise ya but not much happens dropping them at parking lot speeds. Turn your mirrors in and remove the signal stems 1st of course and cut levers down. Bar grip ends get chewed off regardless.
