Anyone know why I can’t use cork floor tiles to reline a AMC clutch, they come in different thickness up to 8 mm :?:

Are they plates with holes that you stick cork segments into, or plain plates that you glue it onto?

It’s the sprocket / clutch cage wheel, this is an early AMC clutch

If your tiles are natural cork, it should work.

If they are crumbs of cork bound in some sort of glue, then it should still work if it's not some freaky low melting point glue.
