I can not seem to find the info I'm looking for,
how large of a battery does an Alton e-start need to operate?
and what is the output of the Alton alternator?

Hi, I had asked last week to Herve Hamon, and he told me 14 to 17 amp, hope this help, as far as I know the starter motor is 1200 or 1400 watts.

There is a wiring diagram in the installation booklet which has 18AH shown on the battery.

Mine was fitted by an approved agent and from memory they fitted a 14ah, it worked ok until the unit failed.

I have had a Shorai 18 in my Commando with my Alton for two years now. Couldn't ask for a better combination. I have left the bike unattended (no charger) for months at a time and it starts instantly the first time…like it had been run the day before.
