I agree slickI no longer intend to fit the stock filter - just nice to have itI'm building a box/plenum from 3mm bakelite sheet, similar shape to stock filter but thinner. this will fit over the ends of the bellmouthsA stub at the rear/centre of the box/plenum will allow fitment of a reasonably large K&N filter (similar to photo below) which will be hidden between the oil tank and battery boxSorry Ed if you feel this could hijack your thread but I think it is relevant as an alternative to stockAnyone else done something like this?CheersRob
