The Pazon that I have had on my bike is an analog Surefire, and I never had a kickback problem with it. Are you guys serious, that the Altair is different and liable to kick back unless the engine is spun pretty hard on start? I know that the Altair is meant for higher-performance bikes and that's why people pay more for it, but I really don't want to threaten my sprag clutch ... ?

Try it. See if it fixes your bike first which is the object of this thread. Then decide if you want to keep it in there or get something else.

I have an Altair on my Mk3 no kick back starts on the starter every time, a good battery is the secret, I use a YTX20CHBS.
