While adjusting the draw bolt 1/8 turn by 1/8 turn and holding an oil line out of the way, it dawned on me that life could be quite a bit better if I replaced the standard nut with a 5/16 - 24 coupler nut. It would be MUCH easier to place the wrench especially if the oil filter hose is in the way. This will become standard practice in the future. About $1.50

What is the Norton term for your "draw bolt", gearbox adjuster? Otherwise, don't quite get it (not uncommon! )

BTW AN doesn't know what a draw bolt is either. I have only heard of them being used to precisely pull kitchen tops, etc together.
You haven't installed a kitchen in there have you?

AN calls it a gearbox adjuster. I think I got the term drawbolt a long time ago possibly from a BSA. Same thing. I've used it ever since.
