One of my conrods has some play in the little end, the other one seems ok. I have been give three other 850 conrods, two have been bushed previously and there is one standard conrod.

What are the thoughts of using one of these conrods with my existing good conrod. I would buy new ones but they are SO expensive.

Are they made as a matching pair or can they be used by matching them up individually?

Thanks

Don

They are not built as a matched pair. Aftermarket balancers will often weight match them but it was never done at the factory.
Personally I would not use a rod that has had a bushing installed in the small end as it weakens it considerably. Jim

Thanks Jim for the reply. I've watched many of your videos and value your opinion. I guess if I am going to use a conrod of unknown history I should get it crack tested before using it.

Cheers Don

You should get rods with a "known history" crack tested at the same time ?

Then you have 2 known good rods....
