850 cam recommendations

It seems that the camshaft on my 850 MKII is toast. I'm tempted to replace it with a stock unit because I like the broad power band and low end torque that the factory profile gave, but I'd also like recommendations from the forum on this.

My riding style is spirited at times, but I also hang out with Harley guys who like to cruise at 45 mph. The factory cam let me stay in 4th gear at that speed and still gave me some throttle response.

If you have an otherwise stock motor I would stay with stock camshaft. it will give you the best for low end and mid range power

I suggest you stop hanging with Harley guys....LOL...

just having a laugh...

I am running a stock camshaft currently....plenty quick for me.


but if you upgrade to a high performance camshaft you should probably upgrade other components as well to get the full benefits.
