Can someone provide a picture of what this switch should look like? Also where can I find theses newer version switches? Forgive me for all the questions! I would like to keep it as original as possible, so If I can keep the original switch assembly, and just replace the needed parts...That would be cool.

Triple John,
Nice find. I think Dyno Dave is on the right track that probably being an original Roadster. If the side decals are original (??), there is space below the Commando for 'Roadster', which only listed this on the 70. Also it appears you have 'original' down pipes that have been sawn off.
Original pipes exit the head in a more forward angle and tuck closer to the frame than all the modern day pop offs. I think Phil Radford of 'Fair Spares Amercia' has original replacements.
I also read in the INOA tech digest, 7-5, it lists the last 'S' model as #135088 and the first Roadster as #135140. Interesting.

Hi John,
I have been thinking about your sawn off head pipes. This is a little unusual. Chopper guys are the ones who usually do that, and that's not chopped.
Perhaps those are the head pipes for a Dunstall 2-1-2 system.
You say you have the pipes and mufflers. What do they look??

The mufflers are original peashooters, and I spoke to the owner last week, and he said he thinks he knows where the middle part of the pipes are? I will take a closer look at the pipes tonight, and see if they are cut off or what! I thought the 70 Commando had just a two piece exhaust system, headpipe/exhaustpipe, and the muffler.

You are correct John. The Commando had a header pipe and a muffler.
Something has been changed. No biggie. Head pipes are everywhere.
It will be interesting to see what he has.
