73 Commando

I just purchased a 73 Norton Commando. All my documentation says it is a 73. But it has drum brakes. All pictures i have seen seen show the 73 with disc.
Anyone with an explanation? Serial # is 235113

235... puts it as a MkV 750, which is a 73 750, Drum brakes indicate it was originally a Hi Rider.

Black instrument cases. Square rear light (actually fitted from 212278). Disk brake on all but Hi-Rider.

As MichaelB says, a '235' is likely to be a '73 Hi-Rider although there were a few '235xxx' Roadsters.
