I have recently completed a #’s matching 72 combat. The motorcycle was involved in a shop fire at my auto shop. The bike was mostly water damaged though plenty of damage from falling debris and melted roof tar
What a fkn mess ! I had so much else to do in an effort to get my Buisness up and running that this machine got a superficial cleaning courtesy of my insurance co along with a fair settlement...then it got put in the corner covered and....not forgotten....to be dealt with later....fast forward and “later” is 3 years. I decided it was time for me to provide this bike the attention she needed and the tear down began. I have some before photos

So the concept for this build was to make it as reliable and dependable as possible. I wanted it to be beautiful to look at. The performance modifications were to make it stay together while making it run like a properly tuned norton should. I have to give a big thanks to the following people...without their help guidance and input this project would have not been possible
Matt from CNW...Kenny from NYC Norton...Jim Schmidt from JS Motorsports....Jim Comstock...Frank and Ella from old Brits...Frank from clubman RIP...Don Pender ...Mitch from Klempf’s and Jack at Deer Park Cycles. The R&D that goes on in our small Norton world just amazes me that people are still developing and refining a 45 year old machine. I will post a few photos and leave it short for now
