Does anyone know of a sealed bearing replacement for the double roller bearings in the front and rear.

the measurements are 17x40x16 mm, I found a single row sealed bearing for the other three, but nothing for the double rows, except one that require machining the hubs and spacers.

Thanks.

yes - i don't know the actually part /bearing number (sure someone will) but any Norton/brit shop will carry them (Just got a set from Phil at fairspares a few weeks ago)

Walridge, 06-7688S $49.95, no machining. Make sure it's the right one though. It worked fine in my '69, both front and rear. Phil at FairSpares 06-7688 has them too for $35, but don't know if they're sealed.

- the ones i got from him were sealed.............. but i think the S at the end of the # denotes sealed

Just to be clear.
Make sure you check that the sealed bearing you get is 17x40x16 and not 17x40x17.5 like most sealed bearing of this size can be. It is common to get this bearing and have to machine the dummy axel .056 to allow for clearance. If you can get the sealed bearing 17x40x16, which you can, you will not have to machine the dummy as DogT mantioned.
