Hi everyone hope we are all well :) was just wondering does anyone have any pics of original 68 Commando badges. Interested to look at the fonts and the background / shape of them. Am I right in saying the originals had a curved back?

I have a half a dozen used original badges. None are curved , all are flat. Someday I'll scrape the remainder of the printing off and have some new prints made.
 
Hi Ron that's ace thanks for the info whats the background look like on them is it a chrome or metal like finish or silver? An does the black circle run all the way to the edge or is it set in a bit?
 
My take is the originals had a metallic chrome like finish behind the clear plastic curved face, they were prone to bubbling and falling off , only attached with three little foam backed pieces of tape . The replacements had a silver paint back and were probably cheaper and more durable.
