270 miles on the P11 today

Got me to thinking I could also go to the dump landfill or whatever the politically correct term is and get the whole enchilada weighed for a couple of dollars.
But I don't think you'd be happy with their accuracy at low loads.

Happy, what is that like? ;)

It would be worth a couple of dollars to see what happens.

I could really complicate things, and load it in the El Camino, weight the El Camino with the bike in it, then take the bike out and weigh it again. Or better yet, forget the whole thing. :)

KISS. I am sure you have a 2x laying around...

Gonna need to use 2 2x4's, or a bike ramp. Only 2x6's I have are that plastic deck stuff that has approximately no structural integrity.

I doubt I'll do it anytime soon. Got too many other things to take care of. Draining the forks today and taking the compression damping stacks out to see what kind of trouble I can get into.

Thanks for the good idea.

Bike looks great and is obviously running great. Nice one!

How are the forks? I’m planning on using some on my current build.
Still no joy for slow road use with the light springs, but I think you would like the forks if you decide to use them on a track bike with the right spring rate. Reason I say that is I can ride over the same section of road that is miserable at the speed limit, and then come back and ride over it on the gas hard keeping the front end lighter and it is a much smoother and tolerable ride. Lots of 500 singles racers on those forks, so they must work.

Kane Burns has them on the ES4 he races, and wins. Maybe you could ask the bike owner that posted what he thinks about them.

I believe the springs I got are too light for a big twin. I should have gone the other way and got the 40 or 50lb springs. I have to use too much preload with the light springs. At rest using all the preload without me sitting on it the bike is already at the correct rider on sag. That will never work. I mistakenly thought there should be some no rider sag from the bike weight, but in my case it is excessive. Anywho, will be pulling the springs and measuring them, then looking at what I can find to match in a 45lb progressively wound spring.
