Can anyone tell me if the exhausts fitted to a 2023 961 Sport are road legal for the MOT test.?

As long as they are not stamped ‘not for road use’, there is no absolute standard, it’s down to the discretion of the MoT tester.

As far as i know the 961 was Single vechile Approved so does not have to conform to Emissions or noise regulations like a massed produced bike does - Euro 5 etc.....

That was alao my understanding. The rules for SVA are more relaxed than for fully homologated models (if that’s the right term). So, what you bought as a standard bike will pass the MOT, if you haven’t further modded it, including not removed the catalyser.

Correct - if you go on the DVLA site for your bike - Registration Number - next to Co2 - there is nothing. Usually it would have the amount your vechile produces.

Well I have loud factory modified (louder) Norton straight-through exhausts with 'not road use' plates and no cat. They never bothered with the 'not road use' or lack of cat but for the first couple of MOT tests (2020 on) I had to fit the quieter exhausts but now they don't bother. They said they would just make a note that the exhaust was loud and that was the procedure now.

No it's fine; I start up my Morgan with the straight-through side exhaust first then you can't hear the Norton start up.......
