HI - i have a dual coil system (replacing the original single coils) with Boyer ignition and last weekend one cylinder started running cold.

Upon further inspection it looked like only one side was sparking the plug however after checking the HT lead and swapping plugs etc i redid the wiring to the dual coil unit with the result that improved contact and with ignition on has the dual coil sparking both sides continuously without the engine being cranked

any thoughts welcome - what should i do next?

Terry

Low battery voltage can produce that 'shower of sparks' in a Boyer.

Charge the battery - and go for a ride - stay close to home ! :D :D
What you are looking for is to see if riding it charges up the battery, or runs it down.
Is it correctly wired - a short to earth could reduce the voltage too.
