Actually, weight makes comparatively little difference to true top speed, aerodynamics are far more important, exponentially so the faster you go.

But the point remains coz a smaller jockey would present a smaller frontal area ie they’d be more aerodynamic.

On the bike my brother rode on the salt they would add weight on the swingarm, traction can be a problem.
