06.0597 Gearbox Pivot Stud - which direction for longer thread side?

Hi all, I am confirming that the 1/2" lower pivot stud 06.0597 on which our gearbox sits may go in without regard to the differing thread lengths (17mm vs. 28mm)?

This same question came up for me with the differing thread lengths of the engine cradle / isolastic uppermost stud. There the discussion hovered around locking the "short thread" side nut to effectively make this a bolt by Loctite but I don't see that logic for the gearbox.

Thanks!

If the stud itself (which seems to have the long thread of a bolt modified into a stud - short thread added) was longer the long thread to the timing side might add some back off thread come time to set the primary chain but it is to short.
I would assume AN blindly follow the 'drawings.

If you wanted to make it into a bolt and it was longer, all it would need is a Nyloc on the primary end (short thread end) and a locking washer and nut on the timing side.
The problem in general being that stud is to short by design and the thread ideally would not be in the cradle drillings let alone the alloy of the gearbox.
