Hi John , Does it run normally once warmed up ? Yes I have experienced this. Not with the Delta 400 and map , only with the SC Typhoon and 077 map.Hi all, I have a 2018 anniversary Cafe Racer i have been starting it and my other bikes every so often but the C R is now starting idling but runs rough above idle anyone experience this with their bikes,

Starting to sound like the Four Yorkshire men sketch from Monty Python..So, my 2016 Harley has stood for approx 5 months. It has not been on a charger, or had fuel drained, or ANYTHING, its just sat there... for 5 months.
Took it for a first ride of the season t’other day.
Fired up straight away, idled and ran perfectly from the outset.
I’m not writing this to rub folks noses in it, but to point out that even an antique air cooled design of 1800cc CAN still work!
Fuel stabilizer should be put in when gas is fresh.I only use shell V power now and the bike has been stading since about end of october. Do you think I need to put some fuel stabiliser in her before the next trip. It needs an MOT now, is the factory doing MOT's now
The fuel will be fine. Maybe not perfect for race use, but fine to run ok.I only use shell V power now and the bike has been stading since about end of october. Do you think I need to put some fuel stabiliser in her before the next trip. It needs an MOT now, is the factory doing MOT's now
Without sounding repetitive..These engines are fatally flawed if they spent extended periods of time at idle. The way the idle system is set up allows one cylinder to steal fuel from the other. This leads to the usual case of misfiring and owners replacing plugs. The plugs are the symptom not the cause. If you start it and ride it you might just encounter the usual slightly erratic idle, if you’re only starting it occasionally for a few minutes (like through winter), you’ll be in a world of hurt. I purchased a programable ECU and removed all the idle air control plumbing a number of years ago. Never had an issue since....
Years ago about 2013 a local Norton dealer sent one of their mechanics on an official Norton course.Without sounding repetitive..
Could you give a brief summary of what you did to achieve Norton nirvana.
What ECU, how did you remove balance pipe, did you Chuck IAM valve.ETC.
Many thanks.
